I understand the love for pokemon
I dont understand the dislike of digimon
Digimon has a better story, characters, animation, and movies.
Sure some of the monsters are less creative
but at least there isn't a fucking ice cream cone

hey guys, this is my favourite yu-gi-oh character, he's pretty badass. when he's about to fight he yells out "BLASTOISE" and then uses thunderbolt. he isn't afraid of anything.

I'm sure you could make a whole comp about the things digimon holds better than pokemon, and make a lot of good points.

Digimon has:
1. True meaning of friendship and bonds held throughout their adventure as they mature together 2. The use of the parallel worlds to build up a different background than Pokemon ever did 3. The tearjearking backstory for every main character 4. The tears shed when the destiny is fulfilled and the true friends are forced apart only knowing that one day they will meet again. The characters (humans) still friends and became bonded throughout their journey 5. Some good games 6. Beautiful manga/anime 7. REAL DEATHS ARE POSSIBLE! 8. Goggles 9. less censorship! 10. Wonderful multiuniverse that is easily explained (Digimon Tamers: Brave Tamer)
Pokemon has:

Bonds with pokemon, later send them to Oak 2. single world 3. repetitive anime plot 4. no sad backstory, cries every time they lose a pokemon battle 5. no destiny, ash doesn't catch them all, doesn't part with Pikachu, dosen't bond with girls (They all leave him), friends come and go, brock leaves! 6. More better games 7. Real deaths? Impossibru! 8. says he loves his hat, CHANGES IT! 9. Ban all the episodes! 10. Simple universe seperated into either games, anime, or manga
Overall: Digimon is awsome and is still awesome
