He's won as a republican 10 times in texas. besides, republican and libertarian are totally different entities. Republican means you promote a governing republic while libertarian is an ideology regarding the nature of individual liberties. He is actually a constitutional republican libertarian

All of the Libertarian Presidential tickets have gotten less than 1% of the electoral college (which should be destroyed). Except one. Ed Clark and David Koch got 1.06% in '80.
You really don't know what the next president will do. It's a difficult time to be president, with the war and the economy going on. But I still respect Obama, being a Libertarian myself.

He is the best candidate, and I agree with a lot of what he stands for. Not everything, but I agree with him on the most important issues, like, the general well-being of america. Instead of sucking our nation dry by nation-building in areas that absolutely hate us (and the rest of the world), instead of being the world police, he wants the prosperity of america to come first. Bring our troops home from a pointless war with no objective that we can't afford that has accomplished nothing. He believes in the constitution and the liberties it provides. He cares about your rights and does not want the America to turn into a police state like china, where freedom is sacrificed for security.

Actually, there isn't a best candidate. Everyone is just stupid this election. No one is consistent, and while yes, focusing on America is what we SHOULD be doing, it's most likely not going to happen. Like I said, it's easier to just fracture a problem than to solve it, apparently. Of fucking course we're not going to become China, no one wants that. However, we might begin to resemble it if people get enough power. Power=Money here, and that is why the government doesn't work as it is. Corruption.

I'm not saying we need a larger government, rather that we need a more efficient one. One that isn't susceptible to corruption and holds people accountable for what they've done. Just jumping ship and saying "fuck it, we dun need no govermentz!" is not an answer. Instead of ditching a problem for a bigger one, just fix the problem.

the best way to reduce corruption is to reduce power. Politicians are only corrupt because they can sell the power they have. give them less power, you force them to be less corrupt. logic ftw

thats impossible. there IS power. they call them regulations. big businesses are able to buy allegiance from politicians by getting them elected and then the politicians then turn around and write regulations in their favor to crush the competition
