do want
I do agree, that skyrim is an awesome single player game. My point is that if you could play such a masterpiece with other people, it would be beyond boundaries of epicness.

nope. 12-year olds would automatically want it. they see 'multiplayer' and they're off.
would consist of 50 people with baskets on their head, while one person steals everything.

multiplayer (pvp and such) wouldn't work, because someone would be an overpowered killingmachine and loot all the good stuff and make the server their kingdom
But if you consider cooperative, with 3 - 5 players, that would be actually a good idea in my opnion, but places like the dungeons it would be to many people at once, and the difficulty should be raised to expert at least so it wouldn't be too easy for a group of players to just do one hit at each enemy
this is all just my opinion ofcourse

christ you people dont get it... not an MMO... just cause its online doesnt mean mmo right away. In my opinion it would work amazingly with a system like borderlands has.

I remember seeing a video somewhere about how, at Bethesda, they always consider multiplayer but never see it working out. I for one think it's great that we can have a game sell millions of copies, recieve countless bids for game of the year, and NOT have a multiplayer. Multiplayer is great, but it doesn't go with everything. It's good to see companies like Bethesda that give you all the content you need in one package instead of short changing single player and extending playtime with multiplayer or a bunch of DLC.
Skyrim multiplayer...I see massive armies of players running around and beating the hell out of each other in middle-age-esk battles.

The only reason they didn't add multiplayer (they talk about adding it all the time) is they feel it would take away from the game as a whole, and they want the best single player experience possible and don't want to look back at the game and say "Oh, if we didn't do multiplayer we could have made this better or that look cooler." and imo they succeeded far beyond expectations, and although multiplayer would kick fucking ass...I'm fine with single player.
