honestly? we really don't mind if people don't like the show, really.

but there's a difference between saying "i don't like it" and saying "it sucks" or "it's terrible"

like for instance, there is a lot of anime that i really don't like, it's a preference of mine not to like it. but I'm not going to go and say "it sucks" or "anime is terrible," you know why? cause a lot of anime shows are not bad, i can easily point out qualities, character traits, and areas of dialogue and animation that makes a lot of anime shows APPEALING, i just don't care it and so i don't want to watch it.

This goes for My Little Pony as well, it's easily understandable why people don't like it and don't want to watch it. but when they go and say "My Little Pony sucks" they often fail to provide examples, critical analysis, and proper arguments as to WHY it sucks.

you know what show sucks? Strawberry Shortcake. Now THAT is a terrible show, why? because the characters are bland, the dialogue is condescending and poorly written, the writing and plots are terrible, the conflict non existing or just utterly pointless, and the resolutions are lazy and are without any point. This is a show meant for drooling retards, it insults it's audience, even for children of such a young age, and perpetuates the very stereotypes that people use to demonize MLP and entertainment for females. It is LITERALLY bad for our society (to a small degree of course).

but anyways, that's why a lot of bronies get defensive when people state "this show sucks"

well you have quite a few people (non bronies) who would disagree with that notion lol.

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic was awarded "best animated series," so lets try to have an open mind eh? That's what i did with MLP (i was highly critical at first), and ended up becoming a fan. i then tried that with strawberry shortcake, TRYING ever so hard to view any redeemable qualities in the show like how i did with MLP, looking at its structure, character traits, personalities, conflict, everything, and nothing stood out as being any bit decent.
