Well they never really say why you build shit and explore caves either. Minecraft has no story and no objective. The whole "ending" thing is completely secondary. You can choose to do that, or you can do whatever else it is you do in game.

Yeah they fought because the yogscast team had a from what i heard 6 year old boy come up to them with a autograph from notch already on some picture and he wanted yogscast signature so they scribbled out notches and wrote fuck you.

Actually Notch had insulted their mothers or something while suffering from jetlag, I think he may also have been drunk.

Correction: They joked about it, they didn't do it. Notch explained it on his Twitter.

To be fair, they made a bunch of serious accusations against Notch which he strangely ignored.

You're gonna thumb me down for that? Fine. Here's what you do: Stop being incompetent.
First break some blocks of wood from trees. Craft them into planks. take 4 planks
in a square, make your craft box. Open it. Put two planks on top of each other, you get sticks.
Line the top row with planks. then put two sticks in the bottom middle and true middle positions. Viola. Your first Pickaxe.
