Different speed, stamina and health for different - Every horse is the same, minus the paint job
Horse personalities differed: some were brave, - Every horse fights everything it comes into
others ran from a fight contact with and frequently kills itself
Shied away from dangerous cliff edges, warning - Plunges off cliffs, frequently kills itself
their riders of danger
Intuitive controls, differing levels of speed ranging - "Slow" or "slower". You may as well *******

I don't care so much about the horses, they're nowhere near important. Shadowmere does fight like a crazy bitch, though, she's my favorite. But yeah, horses are really glitchy if going on a downward, even slightly rocky slope, it's gonna die.

PC controls are also kind of frustrating, mostly with the map and dragging/picking things up.

Sorry man, I didn't realise that the horses I ride for 1/250th of the time I spend on skyrim are the focal point of the game.

well i must admit that i was partially disappointed by the graphics and the animation in skyrim, (characters and animals not the environment)
but anyway there's other things that make that game epic. so yeah i can live with this.

I would say that the reason that skyrim had such low quality graphics (relatively) is not only due to the expanse of the main world but also how the entire game fits onto a single DVD drive. Not to mention the fact that the engine must be compatible with a six year old graphics card( Xbox 360). I believe that if this release was PC exclusive or after the release of a new console, there would not have been as many disappointments.

RDR uses a special engine called Euphoria that allows those kind of muscle movements, it's really cool. If you examine a video game horse so much you think it need to take a dump, you might want to go outside a little bit. Horses aren't such a huge part of Skyrim that they need all the variation. They're there for travel and that's pretty much it. They're really good at climbing mountains, though!

Both are great games, can't judge em on horses alone. I mean I would have ******* loved Shadowmere in RDR.

Red Dead Redemption was a ******* masterpiece as far as story telling and character depth go.
Skryim has extremely deep gameplay, but doesn't always tell the best stories. Some quests are okay, some are amazing.
I must have somewhere in the range of 300+ hours on Red Dead Redemption. Loved it.
Skyrim just hasn't been out long enough for me to top 300 hours.
