basically the guy with AA thought he'd win with four of a kind ( AAAA ) and the guy with the KJ Diamonds pulled a Royal Flush ( Highest Ranked Set in the game ) on the river ( the last card dealt ) whilst the AA guy thought he'd win so he went all in ( bet all the money )

The guy who went "ALL in" had a 4 of a kind.

2 Aces on his hand, and 2 on the community. Four of a Kind is the 2nd Highest possible 'thing' you can get in poker.

The other dude had a Royal Flush. K Q J 10 A all of the same suit. Thats the highest thingie.

Kinda like if you bet your friend that you will get higher marks than him on a test, you get a 99% and you increase the bet, and turns out he gets 100%.

The guy thought he would win because he had 4 aces which is a really high hand but the guy who won had a Royal Flush, the highest hand in the game.

It's uncommon to see that.
