WHAT IF both her. And the guy were equally drunk and therefore both mentally incapable of consent?? Who's the rapist then?

True story.... My friend had sex with a drunk girl at a party, Her boyfriend found out about it and she told him that my friend raped her, She went to the cops, filed a suit, and my friend was heading for jail (It had happened once before but she was found to be a liar as well)
His life was in ruins, He was fired from his job, disowned by his parents, And 4 days later he committed suicide... I hate women sometimes.

I'm not even mad. You're totally right. And next time I see a guy passed out in a random bedroom at a party, I will fuck him in the ass with the remote control, leaving it in there so he'll have to fish it out himself the next day. And it will be his fault for wearing a muscle shirt that made me completely unable to control myself because I'm an animal.
By her logic, if a girl loses consent and responsibility for her decisions, how can any women be convincted of drunk driving? I mean they choose to drive while drunk, just as a woman would choose to have sex while drunk. If she says yes to the sex after getting drunk by her choice, how can it possibly be rape? If she is not force fed alcohol and willingly drinks it, and then consents to sex while under the influence of said alcohol, it's not rape.
If she was drunk and said "yes," not rape. If she was drunk and said "no," it's rape. Obviously we weren't there so we have no way of knowing what went down and this post is kind of offensive.
Some rape nurse that came to my eighth grade health class 2 years ago insisted that even if she said yes, it's still rape because she's drunk, which i think is bs. If a girl gets drunk on her own then says yes to sex or offers sex, that's not rape, tha's her making bad decisions.

I know it's "hip" to bitch about women and all that, and that it's "kewl" to complain as if all chicks are some past bad girlfriend of ours, but really, FJ?
This is the kind of dick-move I'd expect from 4chan or something.
*Under U.S. law, sleeping with an inebriated (drunk) girl is legally considered rape, as the person (man or woman) is intoxicated and not of sound mind to give consent.*
Blaming the victim is the kind of shit I expect from Sudan or Iran. REALLY?
*throws hands in the air* "Screw you guys, I'm going home."

Hooooly shit.
The comments on this picture are completely mind-numbing in both their stupidity, as well as their complete ignorance.
So what if she was drunk? So what if she was dressed as a "slut"? So what if she didn't actually say "no"?
She still was taken advantage of when she was most vulnerable.
It was still rape.
There have been tons of people--not just women, mind you--who have been raped while not under the influence, or dressed provocatively. Are you going to go to them, look them in the eye, and say, "It's your own fault. You should have said no, or at least tried to take control."?
Here's the thing: it isn't that easy to say "no" or to take control. Do you honestly think that someone who is even considering raping someone would stop just because the other person said "no"? Or shook their head, or hit them, or anything else? Because someone who already has determined, "Yes, I am going to rape this person," is not going to respond to some meaningless things like that.
And going back to the woman in the picture: yes, she was drunk, and yes, she might have been dressed in a certain way. But she was not in the right mind to react properly in a situation like that. Taking advantage of someone while they are not in their right mind to consent or not consent is still rape, regardless of anything they may have done to "deserve it".
The only one to blame in this situation is the man who did this to her. Not her.
Would you have the nerve to tell this woman, "It's your fault, not the man's. You shouldn't have been drinking so much or dressed like a slut."
And that leads to another thing. Why is it so much of a bad thing if she was dressed like a "slut"? If men dress in a way that may be revealing (showing their chest or something similar), they are barely ever chastised. But if a woman shows a little cleavage, or shows some more leg than usual, they are a slut.
This is what rape culture is, folks.
And these comments show how everyone is part of it.
