you know man

this actually already exists and exists even in fuel powered cars
these generators replenish the batteries of the car but the amount generated is not enough to keep up with the waste of electricity in electric cars

in fuel powered cars the energy generated is enough and thats why you dont have to change the battery in at least 5 years

but its a good idea given that your knowledge is surely limited

Yeah it has no chance of working. Also it wouldnt save energy, it would waste it. Why?

Take energy
Put energy into motor to move car.

Great! But....

Take energy
Put energy into motor to move car.
Attach generator (requires force to turn it and produce energy. If you need proof look up vids of people trying to power light bulbs with a hand crank generator)
Energy gets lost on friction in the generator and in the wires.
Put energy back into battery (Energy is lost doing this)
Return energy to motor
Much energy loss.

It would work better if you simply had a motor and a battery. Perhaps passengers could pedal or row to turn generators. Not the motion of the car. That's just illogical

I swear i have had this idea like when i was 13. if this ever works, i'm gonna hang myself for not coming out with it

but i doubt it would work...others would have figured this out by now

But.. Electric cars don't need gas anyways...

That... that actually may work! Maybe not infinite energy because of how energy works. But definitely would save some. You should take this post down and get this idea patented.
