None of the potheads give a tinker's cuss about economy, cancer, paper and ropes, glaucoma or epilepsy.

They want to be able to freely smoke pot and get high, preferably cheap or maybe even completely free.

I won't deny that most potheads just use "cure cancer" or "help stimulate the economy" as mere excuses to legally do what they already illegally do. They just want hemp to be less expensive. but in doing that, it would open up a whole new business, maybe even revolutionizing the way we think. Still, stoners don't care they just want more weed.

By legalizing weed you'd make it more expensive.the taxes on pot would be huge. Also Cannabis has no magical cancer curing effects. Those diagnosed with cancer going though chemo therapy lose their appetite and run a high risk of dying from malnourishment. Pot helps maintain a healthy appetite so they don't wither away.

And imagine all the regulations you'd have to make.

FDA will have to do a lot of research to make new standards, etc, etc, imagine the millions in taxes wasted just on the process of legalization itself.

Alcohol and tobacco are much more profitable than weed because of the popularity, and their taxing won't come even close to 1% of the national debt US is in.

You do realize this is all before efforts to tax and legalize marijuana right? as of right now there are no tariffs and people aren't being paid not to grow it, like corn.
It can gross 35m because its a free floating crop.

Don;t even get me started on how corn has been genetically engineered to a point where it no longer is able to reproduce past two seasons.

The point is in the long run the profits made off of legal pot would be much smaller then what it s hyped to be.

Smoking in general is not good for you. however most the **** that makes say tobacco so bad is in the tobacco plant itself. Especially in cigarettes where there is a hell of a lot more than just tobacco in it. Weed has this magical ability to "cancel" all of the carcinogens in it and even then some.

However, smoking in general is not the best thing for your body. But its worst for you to smoke tobacco then weed. Hands down.

So, you're half right. Yes, it would be better to use a vaporizer (it makes it so you don't smoke the plant but just the THC), but not to the point of saying "heavens no. Not smoking".

This is not how THC's anti-cancer possibilities work.

You can not just get high on it and incidentally magically cure cancer. The scientists go out of their way to specifically mention that it does not work that way.

1) Then tell me, how does it work?

2) I'm going to stop you right there. First who off, who are "The scientists". Millions and millions of dollars have been spent by hundreds of companies and the government to make it a devil plant. That you can't ignore. Little money has been given to the opposite cause (part of why we stayed ignorant for so long). So obviously you're going to see a 9 to 1 argument as far as research is concerned.

Essentially, thats why you see statistics like, "There are twice as many carcinogens in marijuana than cigarettes!" which is counteracted by "There is no clear connection between marijuana usage alone and cancer."

I guess what Im saying is, there is just so much we don't know. We don't have enough research in this field of study. We just have a lot of lies and myths that really have no clear answer.

It is my belief that weed is the best we got right now. I'm not saying switch it out with Chemotherapy or anything, I'm saying that it has potential and it sucks way less than chemotherapy which isn't guaranteed to work.

IT'S NOT A CURE, RIGHT NOW ALL WE KNOW IS THAT IT MAY SLOW DOWN THE PROCESS OF CANCER CELLS. MORE REASEARCH MUST BE DONE (which has no funding, btw) BEFORE ANYONE CAN MAKE THAT CLAIM.

That's hilarious. Scientists say "You can't fight cancer by smoking", and you fail to notice the words "you can't".

Once again: when you smoke cannabis, _this does not bloody work
_.

You, as far as I know, need to inject the extract.

And even this is injecting poison, that just happens to kill tumors faster than other cells, while also causing rapid growth in other tumors.

So NO you CANT fight cancer w/ cannabis.

God damn all potheads are stupid.

Research claimed that THC extract affects some of the tumors (while causing rapid tumour growth in other cases). But not when smoked.

Then you quote this research, concluding: yeah, smoking totes affects cancer.

I can tell you something about how it affects cancer. By causing it. And nothing more.

> Then tell me, how does it work?

It (not when being smoked, but as an injected extract) rarely slows progression of some forms of cancer in rats, when injected directly into the tumor; however, it promotes rapid growth of cancer cells in some other cases.

TL;DR it is not different from chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Basically, it's using poison that's more poisonous for cancer cells than for the rest ot the body.
Except marijuana is much less reliable and has side effects such as, oh,_ rapid cancer cell growth_ previously mentioned.

Yeah, it magically cures cancer forever when smoked, you pothead.
