That's because almost any guy you find will completely throw themselves to you so you like them and the woman is usually in charge of whether they want to have a relationship or not, so when you throw a guy aside when he is open to you (which is hard for a guy to do) it makes the woman look like a bitch and everyone feels bad for the guy. On the other hand, if a girl wants to date a guy and shows their emotion (which usually isn't hard for girls to do), a guy will jump on the opportunity unless there is a big reason why (the ugliness or the dick).
