I care about it because I supported my husband through it, and I appreciate what dwindling rights I have in this country not to be barefoot and pregnant and kept ignorantly chained to some man's leg at all hours because I'm too inferior to function without him. I am thankful that someone stood up for me and allowed me to have these rights. And to answer your question it's simple, we respect our dead, photographing someone's son or daughter or parent lying in a casket is horribly demoralizing and disrespectful to the families who watched their loved one give their life for a war that half of america doesn't care about.

But its not that I don't care about the war, I just think it's pointless we give lives like your husbands for things the government wants, like the war we had in the Middle East for oil control. That wasn't very right to give lives for something the citizens want like that.

Every war is pointless if you add in everyone's political agendas, when it comes down to it war is fought usually over three things, retaliation, expansion, or resources. But this is america, A lot of selfless people die, for people's good, and bad causes. Remember the civil war?

It hasn't had a point in over 9 years. We blew the fuck out of Afghanistan, and when we had rebuilt there, we were supposed to leave. Now we've fucked up Iraq, made things worse in the Middle East in general, and are losing our soldiers faster than they can get through fucking boot camp.
The Mujihadeen have been crumbling since 1999. 2001 was their last bid attempt at rebuilding their former status. Now that their main financier is dead, their total dissolution is only a matter of time. They have NO support from ANYONE in the Middle East. AT ALL.

Not that many soldiers are dying btw.

We've got them dying, losing limbs, and ditching the forces altogether.. In droves.. I'd say it has the same effect.

The Mujahideen have nothing left to lose.. We've wrecked their homeland, probably killed their families.. The community at large will not support them... They are literally the most dangerous opponents, now that we have them backed into a final corner.
A lot of people are actively refusing to go over there. More are losing limbs than dying, that is true.. Others are wrecked out of their minds with PTSD.. We are on a not so good stance over there.. We're spread too thin over the Middle East... And now in the Koreas as well..

I don't want you to get me wrong. I'm not saying that civies with guns are considered soldiers, but they certainly shouldn't be counted out either.

To be honest, I'd run from the Mujahideen in their current state, and I'm a fully trained warrior of the Cult of Sakhiim. The training for that is like it was in the old days. Absolute hell.
I don't blame the soldiers that lost their nerve when it came to the Mujahideen. Nothing can ever prepare you for that kind of opponent. One can never account for insanity on the battlefield.
