It's a mixture, just like ll over, i guess it's ll the travel guides and TV programs trying to show the more heritage like people. (Like old buildings, blondes) Just like in the beer girl picture below. It's just how we are depicted, but other than our language, we're just like everyone else with physical features.

What's the idea behind the German Flag? I'm Irish and our flag Green, White and Orange...Green representing the Irish Nationalists(Independant Ireland), Orange being the Loyalist (Loyal to Britain) and White to symbolise peace between the 2 cultures.



Also, anyone else who's willing to reply and explain their flags meaning, Could be a good learning experience... Excelsior!
