I am a proud Christian man, but i do not judge nor fault my fellow man if they don't have the same belief as me nor will i shove my religious views down their throat. I actually have several Atheist friends, if they are willing to talk to me about religion, i will gladly share. God said to let all men know of Christ, love all men and show kindness to your neighbor, never said I had to force them to believe.

They're not real Christians, but this is what American mainstream Christianity has turned into.

I'm sure you are one of those really cool and tolerant religious people and if I knew you I would still shake your hand even though we believe in completely different things. But you have to understand that there are A LOT of people like this in our country, it isn't just a minority, this isn't just picking and choosing the worst in the bunch, it is developing into what a majority of people in the United States of America believe... and if it keeps going like this, its only going to get worse.

The bible isn't to be taken literally, most things said in the bible are simply hyperboles, "if your right hand causes you to sin cut it off" based on that literal logic, most people would be bleeding like crazy. The talking snakes represents the temptation of Eve after being commanded not to eat the apple, the apple representing sin, the virgin mary is to show that mary was clean in the eyes of god, she didn't sin, or any of that, jesus being resurrected would be i guess being reborn, like how you hear about born again christians? No idea what the walking on water represents, but i'm assuming an act that showed to people that jesus had some crazy abilities

I'm not sure if this is correct, but the Christian God isn't meant to have written the bible.
The book was written by his so-called "prophets" and "disciples", who did in fact create figurative stories out of his word. I'm not very my religious myself -more of an agnostic-, but if that's truth, then a good portion were likely to be absolute bullshitters.
It's generally agreed that none of the old Testament stories in particular are to be taken seriously.

Wow I hadn't even noticed that. I just knew the chances of finding that many Christians commenting on the same profile all with such hateful and gruesome wishes upon people without a single other Christian, or non-Christian speaking up against it was a million to one.

I am an atheist and i dont mind religious people but what i dont like are people who are, let's say christian purely because they were raised that way and have never actually put thought into it. If you think about it and come to the conclusion that god exist and everything else then all power to you but if you believe what you are told to believe then you are just an idiot.
I was raised christian and through my own thought and reflection i came to the conclusion that prayer and worship of a god does not change the world at all but i have friends who have come to the completely opposite conclusion.
So to summarize: Believe what you want to believe, but at least think it through first.

Excuse me sir, but where does it say in the bible that God does not like Jews, gays, masturbators, porn-watchers, and everyone else that doesn't follow God? The bible is fairly clear about God having a deep and immense love for everyone

If you are referring to some incorrect people out there who have completely whacked beliefs about Christianity and are intolerant, prejudice, bigots towards any one who does not share their beliefs then yes there are people out there like that. But please do not label all Christians as being like this.
