Currently a computer science major and let me tell you, google's interview process is BRUTAL. Only like .2% of people who apply are hired, and it goes on for weeks with different types of interviews. You get work conditions like this because you KNOW YOUR SHIT.

You're wrong. A few alumni from my school have gotten jobs at Google. They recruit regularly on campus. Obviously they had good GPA's, but it's not impossible to get a job at Google. They recruit for many jobs in the technology and business world. Google has many locations, not just the one in the silicon valley. Their interview process, however, is brutal. They give nearly impossible case questions like "If we were collect all the world's gold and place it in one place, how much space would it take up?" or "How many golf balls will fit inside the Empire State Building?".

I have a friend who works at Google. Nice guy, loves the job.
Hilariously enough, that job saved his life.
David was born with a rare kidney defect called Alport's Syndrome which causes deterioration of the GBM (Glomular Basement Membrane) and ultimately kidney failure.
It's because of his job that he ever found out.

went to the Google Blood Drive to donate. They told him he was Anemic, checked his serum creatinine and then promptly called the hospital.

Long story short, Fuck Yahoo Search and Bing. Google actually saved a life.
