But nine months later she died instead of gave birth and left Jake everything instead of Bob

9 months is the common time frame for which a mother can fully develop the baby, and than give birth. so this lady sent the letter to the first males name, even though she slept with the second man. the punchline is the twist ending. no baby, money.
