It depends on what type of vegan you are there are one type were they eat poultry/fish/vegetables/fruit/nuts ect., ones that just eat fish/vegetables/fruit/nuts ect. and then there's ones that don't eat anything from animals like you said, eggs and cheese ect and just eat fruit, vegetables, and nuts

Vegan is a type of vegetarian, there is no "type of vegan."

Vegans don't eat/use anything from animals, including meat (fish is meat!), dairy, eggs, honey, gelatin, carmine, etc.
If you eat any of those things you aren't a vegan.

1) Lots of things that are wrong happen in nature, including rape, war, infanticide, etc. Just because they happen in nature doesn't make it right.
2) "It's how the fuckin food chain works"- hm.... the food chain works by herding hundreds and thousands of animals into factory farms, forcing them to live short lives in miserable conditions before slaughtering them en masse?
3) Animals don't contribute to our world? Then maybe we should stop breeding them like crazy just for our consumption...
4) You do realize that being vegetarian is better for the environment, right? More greenhouse gasses are produced from factory farming than all transportation put together. It's horrible for the environment.
5) You actually kill more plants by eating meat. The meat that you eat ate plants when it was alive, due to the inefficiency of the transfer of energy between trophic levels you are actually eating tons more plants because the cattle or other animals don't gain a lb of meat from eating a lb of plant matter, in fact the author of Diet For a Small Planet wrote "Imagine sitting down to an eight-ounce steak. Then imagine the room filled with 45 to 50 people with empty bowls in front of them. For the ‘feed cost’ of your steak, each of their bowls could be filled with a full cup of cooked cereal grains.”

I don't care if you want to eat meat. I don't care if you even think it's the better choice. Just don't be ignorant about it, take a high school level biology class and learn what you're talking about.

1. Rape and war don't happen in nature, humans are the only species that do these things.
2. Some people, like me, buy their food in-state at a farmers market or something of the sorts where the animals died in completely humane ways.
3. That doesn't even make sense.
4. This is completely irrelevant, seeing as we've already fucked our enviroment up pretty bad. Factory farming doesn't cause as much pollution as you might think.
5. What the hell are you talking about? If they're starving, then of course you're going to give up a steak to effectively feed all of them. Cheap grains just so happens to be a cheap way for all of them to get more out of it.
