I was hesitant to try it out, thinking that it would be akin to the more girl-ish ideals of Ponies and the like. But, I am willing to try anything at least once. I watched a few episodes, and found out that it is not entirely girly at all. Can you imagine, in a girls cartoon, a dragon, albeit sleeping, that will end life of everybody around, just from sleeping, from the smoke exhalation? Or a cockatrice, turning other characters to stone by looking at them? I think not. Those are more masculine. So, if you say that MlP:FiM is girly, then you have another think coming. They even slipped in a joke for adults, because Spike, a baby dragon, was sleeping in the punch bowl. One of the characters mentioned that the punch is spiked.

It really is hard to go down with your ship like this (or that), but its time to swallow my god-damned pride. I think ive learned one important lesson from this, is that no matter whether your right, wrong, or just expressing an opinion, it doesnt mean youll win.
