Most of that credit should go to this BAMF. Simo Hayha, spent 100 days in the snowy forest alone, with just some food, an un-scoped rifle (yes i see it's scoped in the pic) and a submachine gun. Killed AT LEAST 705 Soviet soldiers, heavily rumoured to be over 800, defeated counter snipers, was carpet bombed multiple times and escape unharmed. He was eventually shot in the face with an explosive bullet, and survived. He died in April 2001, at age 96.
A true fucking hero!

Is he awesome? Yes. Does he deserve most of the credit? No. All of that is a tiny, tiny fraction of the actual numbers. Also, he maxes out at about 760 kills. His kills were well documented, and we even know what kind of weapon he used for how many kills.
