I like it a lot. But i understand were you're coming from. Most dubstep is an acquired taste but the older dubstep is a lot better because it doesn't like optimus prime is jerking off in your ears. Its really relaxing just like any other slow song.

There's different little genres in dubstep. There's the "brostep" which is the shitty wubwub shit then there's actual rhythmic dubstep. I've seen it been described as electro in half time which makes sense. But there really is some somewhat good dubstep out there

Maybe this is just me, but I don't think metallica and Queen are 'good ol music'. Not saying they're bad, I love those bands, but when people use a term like that, I think of good old music, like classical or early jazz, which is awesome.

I used to care about skill when music's made, but now I honestly don't give a damn, if it sounds good, i like it, if it sounds like shit I hate it, simpler system, either that or I like dubstep (dubstep for me is like electro-house, DnB, that kind of stuff,) because i've been looking for a sound like it for a whiel

People buy Skull Candies for the name. Good sound quality, but they don't last long. Sony/Sennheiser all the way.

That used to happen to me, but I found out it was because I wound them around my iPod and bent the jack every time I did that. Now that I started removing them before putting them away, My current pair lasted 2 years so far. I agree, the jacks are kinda fucked up, you just gotta be careful. But I use Ink'd in-ear, because I'm poor. They're only like 15 bucks.

Seriously dude, they will almost certainly fucking break on you. They usually have a lifespan of about three months, depending on how often you use them.

I know this because those salty fucks broke on me, and I fucking went to the website and found out everybodies did that, and the only thing the fucking guys from skullcandy had the courtesy to do was to have two divisions for refunds. One, if your headphones had a mechanical problem, they'd give you the same ones for free. Two, if you "broke" yours, or if they can't fucking design the stupid headphones right and they inevitably break and there is a forum filled with unhappy customers, then they'll refund you for half. So you still have to buy another shitty pair of these headphones for half price, or spend MORE to buy a better version of their headphones with a discount.

Avoid skullcandy like the clap man, there are plenty of headphones. that wont fuck you with a rake.

Thing about dubstep is that its best to listen to it with real concert speakers. See all those wave up there? Those are levels only proffesional speakers can use, and its important to have those because they complement all the regular sounds. When you listen to it with just some earbuds its not the same as have all these different waves pulsing though you in a crowd full of people as pumped as you are. I gave dubstep a chance when I was explained this and went to an actual concert, and believe me the experience you get is worth it.
Mind you it should from someone that plays good dubstep, not some dude that thinks he knows what he is doing. I opened up to listen to Queens of the Stone Age (one of my favorite bands) when I was younger and I really like them, I opened up to dubstep and I also really like it too.
Also just my opinion of course.

I think that dubstep should just stay in clubs, that's all. There's club music which consists of dubstep and remixes and dubstep remixes, and then there's real music.

Both are good.
