In response the the bibles in the fiction section, here is a rant about my retarded school:
So, I go to a Catholic school, basically because my parents want me to know a second language, and it's the only french school in town. So this year, I noticed they put up a whole bunch of random religious posters, which is to be expected, and they don't bug me; after all, the school's about 87% christian.
So anyway, today, I decided to actually read one. I had the layout of Facebook, except it said "Faithbook" on top, and it was supposed to be Jesus' profile. I thought that was a kind of cool way to promote god, even though I don't believe in that sort of thing.
Until I read the comments.
There were multiple bible figures, such as Mary reminding Jesus that Mother's day was coming up (In chatspeak, mind you), and moses saying something about meeting up later or something. But the second last comment was what really rustled my jimmies. There, was a comment supposedly left by Charles Darwin, with a profile pic of him and everything, saying, and I quote:
"Guess I was wrong after all. I believe it was Johnny Nash who said 'I can see clearly now'?"
WHAT.
WHAT.
You're seriously going to take an extremely important figure in science, pull a ******* made up quote out of your ass and sticky note it on him, demote him to a bumbling idiot who kisses Jesus' ass on a website? And worst of all, putting it in a school where you are supposed to be educating kids, not brainwashing them! Why is it that I have to respect and tolerate your beliefs while you mutilate mine?
I don't know.

To clarify, I wasn't arguing that there is or isn't a god. I was saying that if I have to be tolerant of other people's faiths, why aren't mine respected in the same way?
