No, but I think you fail to see what I am trying t say, it may be a face, but it is also a picture that conveys a specific idea, like Socially awkward penguin, FBF, Most interesting man in the world and idiot nerd girl.
Rage faces are simply able to be used in comics to convey and idea about that character.
The different faces are iconic of different roles in the comic, like an eyepatch generally says "this guy is a badass" glasses say "this guy is the smart guy in the group" they are a specific thing to make you realize who that person is through a thought associated with the picture.
