(This post will be separated into paragraphs so it's easier to read)

To be entirely fair, I'm mixed. Half white and half black and I'm a perfectly normal person.

I was dating this white girl and I've the type of black to joke about race and have fun with it. Like that picture of the little boy eating watermelon, chicken, and spinning a basketball is funny to me.

Well whenever whenever I made a joke, for example: her sister said "my friends bike was stolen the other day" I replied with "Probably black people". Her entire family thought I was serious and that I hated my own race.

Well, come to find out, a lot of people take those jokes seriously. It's ridiculous in my opinion. I wouldn't tolerate genuine racism and would never defend a racist in any situation, regarding Asians, Mexicans, etc.

The simple fact is though, that I totally understand joking about it. But it's amazing to me that there are some people who actually fear blacks. I've had to tolerate racism, hell I live in a town full of hicks who wake confederate flags on their trucks. But that doesn't make all of us bad.

Also, I don't expect anyone to actually make it all the way to the end of this post. (to long, did not read). I get it, I guess I just need an outlet. My girl of 16 months and I broke up today. It's been hard. But hey, that's life.

You win some, you lose some. But whatever you're faced with, take it like a man.
