longtimeago (09/04/2011) [-] Actually, 666 is the total sum of all the roman letters in reverse. The M (1000) was only 'used' after 2751 (the founding of Nova Roma).
Before that they used:
I (1), V (5), X (10), L (50), C (100), D (500).
D, C, L, X, V, I = 666
Romans were, in many believes and cultures 'devil spawn', the devil on earth. But this is just one 666 theory. :) (I learned this from one of those 'bible "disection"' documentaries).

longtimeago (09/04/2011) [-] There are so many different theories about the number 666, which make it really interesting! Some stories really go out to the 'existance of the devil' while others are, for example my story, a link to a number to a person, or group of persons who committed lots of evil crimes, or inhuman crimes (crimes that only a 'possessed person/group could do', hence 'the devil'. :)
