The fact that you're willing to belittle people over something so irrelevant as MLP is more of a testament to YOUR immaturity and not mine.

I find it comical that you think that bronies consider themselves "mature" for merely liking the show. bronies consider themselves mature because they are willing to enjoy mediums that are beyond the comfort zones that their respective genders impose upon them. The bronies, at least the one's I interact with on a daily basis, are nice motherfuckers who behave in a relatively mature manner, in contrast to the majority of FJ who act like asses under the shield of anonymity.

As for the R34, well, the majority of the thread tend to consider it more as a sick joke or a shock weapon than legit fap material, that's more for the DeviantArt crowd. Same goes for the "literature" the comes with the fanbase.

As strong as it is, MLP will only last for so long. One of these days, either when the creators cease the canon or the fanbase grows into adulthood, people will move on. This fanbase will be inconsequential to their destinies as human being, other than, and this is from experience, making them more balanced, positive individuals.

TL;DR: MLP is inconsequential, get over it. No-one in the fanbase considers themselves "mature" for the mere act of enjoying the show. Stop judging people for liking shit that you don't like.

Honestly, I love the amount of references to non-child-friendly things they throw in. There have been pretty blatant dick jokes, along with an Assassin's Creed reference and a Monty Python and the Holy Grail reference. The show is well made and I find it to be pretty funny. Obviously not for everyone though

I think the style of animation, the good sense of humor that adults and kids alike can enjoy, the nostalgic feeling of watching cartoons, and even deeper I think that breaking the stereotypic mold that watching something like that is gay or for girls, where it turns out that the majority of fans are straight males.
