It's more a religious than a social issue.

I thought about adding my own political viewpoint, but then I remembered that this is FunnyJunk. So I decided to post this picture of a chick with big boobs dancing.

Here's the number one rule about ALL religion.
Treat religion like your dick; Don't show it off in public, and don't shove it down peoples throats!

I've noticed a very large turnabout in public opinion. Before, if you openly supported gays or were gay, you were ridiculed and your image was tarnished. Didn't matter how much little you supported them, how reasonable you seemed, or how logically you listed your reason for support, you'd STILL get shunned by just about everyone.

Now, if you say you DON'T support gays you get the same treatment (at least from the non-conservative wing). Am I the only one feeling a huge sense of hypocrisy here? It's not just with gay rights either. Religion, ethnicity, and way more. We're supposed to be in an era of freely expressing yourself and being open to all views, yet it seems like it's just been a reversal of roles from a century ago. Now, you can't oppose these issues for any reason without being called an intolerant, dumb, conservative asshole.

Now, because many of you are going to call me an intolerant, dumb, conservative asshole, I'm going to put it out there that I personally do agree to some form of legal union for gays. I'm just aware of the hypocrisy going on. Does anyone else seem to feel this way?

Okay, explaining gay marriage to a child is a very complicated process, I am going to explain it in the longest possible way so no one falls behind..

You tell your kid, that two guys can get married.

The End, hopefully this can shed some light on the issue for people are not to lazy to read.
