The film opens with a robed, profusely bleeding "God" disemboweling himself, with the act ultimately ending in his death. A woman, Mother Earth, emerges from his remains, arouses the body, and impregnates herself with his semen. Becoming pregnant, she wanders off into a vast and barren landscape. The pregnancy manifests in a fully grown convulsing man whom she leaves to his own devices.

The "Son of Earth" meets a group of faceless nomads who seize him with what is either a very long umbilical cord or a rope. The Son of Earth vomits organic pieces, and the nomads excitedly accept these as gifts. The nomads finally bring the man to a fire and burn him.

"Mother Earth" encounters the resurrected man and comforts him. She seizes the man with a similar umbilical cord. The nomads appear and proceed to rape her. Son of Earth is left to mourn over the lifeless body. A group of characters appears, carry her off and dismember her, later returning for Son of Earth. After he, too, is dismembered, the group buries the remains, planting the parts into the crust of the earth. The burial site becomes lush with flowers.

Let me tell you guys something. I have watched the movie myself, felt sick for days.
Even now (5 months later) i still can't picture some things from the movie in my head, because if i do, i feel like a monster for having some feelings that shouldn't be there.

SPOILER ALERT the guys eventually gets himself a female slave, which he submits to horrible torture.
Thing is, eventually the slave starts loving it, helping him with the killing and instead of escaping, she stays with him.
I think this could be done in real life and matter of fact it's already happening in small forms.
For example: if a guy has a girlfriend and he always jokes around (teasing her), at first she will find it unpleasant. But after a while (we are talking about months and months) she starts to do the same thing to him, because she is used to it and combines the feelings of affection with the action of teasing (believe me i've seen this first hand). Another example is one of brainwashing a young child.
If you upheaval yourself and downgrade others all the time, the young child will start believing it (i took this example of my older brother and my younger brother, first my younger brother answered, when asked who was the 'best': my parents or me and my older brother. Now he mostly says my older brother. (yeah i think it's sick, because my older brother doesn't even notice that he is doing it, i really hate him for that, but i think the answer to it lies in that past, but that's another story). Back to the main story

So here are two examples of "brainwashing". Why did the feelings let me feel like a monster? Because who wouldn't want a female slave that did sexual stuff to you? And i don't mean in the same way as the killer does in the movie, i mean more like you come home and they are at your feet wanting to server you in any sexual way. (this wish lies in the problem of not having much self confidence and that a slave would love us either way, thus we wouldnt have to

put much effort in the relationship).
What i think the fact is, everywhere you go are manipulations, believing in religion (starts early), making girls weak (why do girls never do train their arm muscles? because society views the look of heavy muscles on a girl as not attractive, but in daily activities (or in nature) having those muscles is a big advantage) and ofcourse making boys take the guardian and leading role. I mean think about it, if you raise a girl where you encourage her to take a leading role, would she come out as a weak girl or more as a strong women? Thing is, like you can notice, this is manipulation as well as the killer did in the movie, except this would be seen as "good" manipulation

But back to the slave part, do you want to have a slave that abides to anything you want? Or do you want a healthy relationship, where the other has a vote to and can come with ideas? I would like the second one, because with a slave, you would still feel alone.

But i still have those feelings, because i'm still working on that problem of having almost no self-esteem and/ or self-confidence (which i think grows with age or just time being spend in a certain way).

But it also scares me that you can see how easy it is to manipulate someone. In a wrong way and there is almost nothing they can do to stop it. You think to yourself that you would never surrender to it don't you?

The girl in the movie spends 8 years with the killer. 8 years of torture and battling your own feelings (and after a while even your mind) (i mean at first you would start to enjoy the periods he leaves you alone, then after spending so long without anybody else, you start to appreciate the moments he talks to you (i mean you dont have anybody else to talk to) after a while maybe you'll start to see the sexual things he does to you as pleasant and so on and on..).

8 years of that, (doesnt matter if you are a boy or a girl with the sexual part)
do you think that you'll still after a couple of years have the guts or even the will to escape or kill him? a year is a long time, everyday, 365 days...
I myself doubt that i could stop myself from breaking, do you?

That's the thing, i've explained most of this in the "master" perspective, but can you see how easily it is to become the slave when somebody does it to you?

eight years and you think you won't crack? The answer to that, that's what scares the hell out of me..

one more thing, I don't view manipulations as good, matter of fact I see it as something evil. But thing is, everything we do manipulates others and there is only manipulation. Even our enviroment "manipulates" us (not that it has a mind but i mean that we draw certain descisions from our enviroment, for example: if someone only sees black people do crimes and he grows up with thinking that and only seeing examples of black people doing crimes, will that person when he gets older think that not all black people are worthless scum? I don't even have to answer this, just look at the white power movement.. (do not relate this example with my opinion about black people, i was just giving an example).

So taking that concept of seeing examples and making your descision, would that girlfriend of yours really have an own opinion? Or would that opinion be derived of her enviroment? (i think it does). So in that theory, the girlfriend doesn't have her own opinion. She would just say whatever her enviroment 'manipulated' her in saying. Thing is, if this was true, then you would do the same thing right? Yes, you would and you will always do. For example the certain words you use that you copied of your father or mother (meaning your enviroment has manipulated you).
The concept of free will is (i think) an illusion and it's very hard to break from that illusion and accept that it isn't real, whatever you do, you don't have a free will, because when you read this and you think " im not going to act that way anymore". think again, what i'm typing here is also part of your enviroment.

That brings me to my theorie of action-reaction. As most of us acknowledge, that after every action, there is a reaction. Even if you do nothing, that's still a reaction! If you're hungry, you eat. If your tired, you will go to bed and sleep (or stay on your computer because of some feeling that you want to linger just a bit longer, for some reason like not wanting to begin the next day and all it's

troubles). But that action that gets a reaction, is also a reaction to some other action. like: action1->reaction but that action1 is also a reaction to a "previous" action. action->"re"action1->reaction. (hope that that clears things up a little).

With all this, you can backtrace every action-reaction to let's say something as the Big Bang (which i believed happened, because they backtraced all the galaxies and they calculated it all started from one point (im keeping that explanation simple)).

Now let's think in atoms, atoms+nothingness make up everything around us (which make molecules, which make almost everything around us), well ofcourse you have other things like energy and that (i think) atoms and everything is just something on a scale of infinity (i mean atoms are made of protons, neutrons and electrons. And those things are made of... etc etc) But that's a theory for another day, a day i doubt you will be there when i write it, or say or whatever. So back to those atoms, they make everything that's around us. BUT atoms are moving, around a base (i dont know much about). So if atoms are moving and react on each other, isn't everything already (how do you say it..) "planned"? AND NO i don't mean its planned by an entity like god, but more like this action brings that reaction, so you can't really change it because you are part of the "material plane" meaning you are part of that action-reaction. You act on a action, but it's really the atoms against atoms, if you know what i mean? I mean your brain is made of atoms... yeah it's hard to explain and after an hour philosophing and explaining my mind is starting to lose focus on the subject. What i'm basically saying is this: We make choices based on the enviroment, we think we have a free will because we make that choice, but making that choice comes from our brain, which get affected by everything, meaning, if you eat something, it can affect the choice you make on other things, but it's not only eating,

its everything that reacts with everything, so everthough we make that descision, we only react on the problem or the so-called "enviroment"..

I'm getting tired now, so im gonna end it with this.
We react on everything around us and make choices, does that give us a free will? No because if you would see it on the scale of atoms, you'll only see the atoms reacting to each other. Binding and splitting, flying and doing all the stuff atoms do.
Picture this: a chemical that start in your organ doing something with something else and then it changes into a electic current, that goes through your brain and into a braincell that creates with multiple braincells a thought, is that free will?

Still we can't break away from the illusion and see the reactions and all and time itself basically, because (i think) our brain isn't build that way (we only live in the present and we will "never" know how it would feel like)... Ironic isn't it, the titel of the page is: "Some Things Never Make Sense". Well it does make sense, it's just seems like a paradox. Making choices but you're just reacting to the enviroment
Thus not giving you a free will... Or seeing it as that atoms acting-reacting, thus only doing something that is the result of all those atoms doing that..
