Has anyone noticed that Cartoon Cockworks is trying desperately hard to be Adult Swim? I say this because on Adult Swim, there's several mature themed cartoons, most of which are poorly animated. However, that's intentional, because of the whole satire on actual kid cartoons. CN is completely stealing the formula from Adult Swim. You can tell from shows like MAD, which is a deadpan ripoff of Robot Chicken, and the lack of effort they put into animation (Problem Solvers, The Adventures of Bubblegum or whatever the fuck it's called), which is shown by completely giving up and replacing whatever they were too lazy to draw with macabre images. Normally, this would work on something like Courage, because that show was intentionally creepy. However, when you're advertising a show to a demographic of young children and show a wide angle shot of the characters looking hyper realistic and horribly detailed and disgusting (fuck you, Spongebob, even though you're not on CN), it offsets the fun and charm of it being A FUCKING CARTOON. In addition, it makes the cartoon even more disturbing because the writing is so atrocious and grating that you'd think fucking Pauly Shore wrote the goddamn scripts, and the characters look like they were drawn by 3 year olds. Its like having a pedophile trying to entertain a kid with sock puppets-- it's creepy as hell.
Adult Swim can pull off the dark images and the bad animation because that's part of whats making you laugh. Cartoon Cockworks cannot because their attempt at this is the equivalent of a mentally handicapped child bashing his head against a fucking keyboard. In conclusion, I absolutely hate the idea of replacing creativity with nightmarish animation for the kids who watch these insipid fucking piles of dog sperm that they call cartoons these days.
