I don't understand why the movies deserved crying...sure they were good and a part of our childhood, at least for me it was, but its just a movie with no actual "moving" or "aw inspiring" plot. It doesn't deserve tears in the slightest.

I think it's more along the lines that this is also one of those stories a lot of us have grown up with. I mean I remember being in grade school when the first one came out, and always anticipating the next book's release. And now that the last movie is done, it's kind of like a closure in a chapter of many people's life. Resolution can be a very powerful thing to people.

I understand that, and I know what you mean. I was the same with Toy Story, but I still didn't cry. That's probably cuz I'm a realist and that there's way more important things than movies; at least to me anyways.

seriously tho..I don't hate the movie but its about wizards...there are movies that are way more deep and profound that harry potter fans (at least I know) don't even know/give a shit about. Its stupid.

I think the movie is amasing. Theres a whole fucking world, with spells, potions, history, shops, towns, and amasing characters.. The storyline and all are a bit of a cliche though. Evil wizard wanna take over everything, the only one who can stop him and all that :b

Yeah I get that, but I don't see how that justifies the need to cry when there's way more movies with more important meanings that are actually worth crying over. Harry Potter =/= need for crying.

theres nothing overly special about it, like daentraya said, it is cliche a lot of the times. I like having an opinion on FJ...gets me lots of red thumbs cuz people hate it when you disagree with them.
