I remember in middle school we had to carry all of our stuff in giant folders with no backpack. Because "In high school you won't be allowed to use back packs"

our middle school doesn't allow backpacks, but all the high schools do...i guess they think middle school kids are more likely to shoot up a school or whatever their paranoid minds think backpacks would cause...the stupidest fucking thing i saw was this video saying you have to tuck in your shirt and it showed a kid with his shirt untucked and he litteraly pulled like ten guns including a submachine gun and a full size shotgun from his waistband hidden by his untucked shirt...i mean seriously what the fuck is with these overly paranoid schools

I just hate the fact that middle school, at least around here, has more classes you have to take in a day than high school. And they didn't see a problem with us having to carry around six text books, various work books, and our supplies, without a back pack.

IKR? I had one textbook for every class, and the MANDATORY binder per class to carry, and had 5 minutes nbetween classes to get to a locker that was across school from 4/7 classes (I took art as my elective since you only near 1.5 semesters of gym to gratuate, no necessities besides a pencil since it was all there) and all textbooks were about 8LB each. My math textbook was waterlogged and warped to the point where it weighed over 10 lb.

And you wanna know what's pathetic? All the books were from the mid 90s to 2004 edition. Even US history books. THAT is how well the gov't takes care of education. no wonder everyone thinks America is stupid, we don't have all the facts about everything we learn!! Half the things in the world history textbook about Wars or Japan I already knew were wrong, especially spellings, pronunciation, and time eras because I already learned on them on my own(I have an obsession with Japan, and war is always interesting in my book. Not good, just interesting)

It's also kind of funny how we had wars thousands of years ago that we think are started for atrocious reasons, and were carried out in gruesome ways, yet eerily similar things happen 2-3 times throughout history, some happened recently!!

At least you had a locker. We had to carry around all of our stuff. All of the time.

I also had a trombone I had to carry to and from school everyday, for I was a band nerd.

I remember when my old high school tried to ban band shirts. Yes, they tried to make it to where you couldn't where shirts with your favorite bands on them.

It failed to stick when they only wrote up kids wearing metal shirts and not the people wearing country ones.

t-shirt rules like that are just stupid, i mean if the shirt has language or sexual themes yea i get not allowing that but a band shirt? come one people. one day i want to see if they will make me take off an openly satanic shirt, because if they do then it means they would also have to make kids take off their christian shirts or it would be discrimination of religion.

Long County school systems totally banned backpacks in every school except the elementary schools. Except the teachers don't give a damn if you have a backpack so I got lucky.

DA FUCK.

Man, at least we got backpacks here.
Not lockers though, because a few years before I showed up, some dumbass got caught with around 5 pounds of fucking weed in his locker. He got expelled, and the lockers were all removed, like that fixes the problem.

Stupid fuckin' Hawaii school system.
