Our argument is that he created you, and therefore loves you. By some means of either birth or through choice, you prefer men for sexual relations. Guess what? just you preferring men is not immediately making you a sinful person or going to hell and anyone telling you that is ignorant and hateful in themselves which is a sin!

It is true we cannot help who we are. The church argues though we can help what we do. Our actions are what determine if you sin. So while you may have the inclination to have sexual relations with a man. Having the sex or masturbating to the idea or pornography is sinful.

Just like a man who is not married having sex with a woman, or using birth control, masturbating, using pornography. All sinful. Basically under the idea that you PENIS is created for having babies and feeling good. And if you don't use it for the its appropriate intentions you are not truly living life to the fullest intent God wanted you to.

The marriage part is that its a means of preventing people thinking its okay to have homosexual activity. The church would prefer not to have anyone recognize it as okay because in their mind it is seeing someone say "its okay to sin" which is comparable (in the church's mind) to someone say "you are an alcoholic? have more booze!"

Many christian religions don't hate gays. If anything we care in a manner which is hard to understand. Its more about prevention of hurting yourself in our mind. Don't hate all of us. Most of us don't hate you. =D friends?

doesn't that mean that infertile couples who are married or old married couples shouldn't have sex because it won't make babies?

I don't know the argument well enough. But I think the idea is that you can still procreate even if the couple is infertile because you can work with doctors to try and fix it and the occasional miracle. But good point.

i'm catholic too, but i think that is a wrong policy. God is fair. he wouldnt create love between two people and tell them they couldnt pursue it.

Dbrak no one, has said that there can't be love between two people. Love is always good. Just the sexual act of making love is the issue. Love can be made between anything and anyone. And god desires full love with everything. However, when you commit a physical lustful act when it has absolutely no openness a child, you are not allowing love to happen. You are preventing part of the gift that was meant for you to enjoy with sexual activity. A child.

there's more to sex than having children. why do people insist on speaking for God? maybe he did create sex partially to feel good. NO ONE knows how God thinks.

Don't get me wrong dbrak. Sex should feel good too! I don't think you understand my full point and it is relatively hard to explain through funny junk. I would suggest trying to ask a priest near by to explain full detail.
