He went to buy some cigarettes and I ran off to the man at the till and told him not to sell them to my dad because I didn't want my daddy to die. When he came up to buy his stuff, the man told him the story. He broke down in tears in the middle of the store, picked me up and took me home without the cigarettes. The next day, he told me that as my birthday present, he had given up smoking for good.

I worked part time at a grocery store and a shit ton of people were around as she was yelling at her teenage son. She came up with two large cases of bud light but you could already smell the alcohol on her. She starts rushing me and shit telling me to "scan the fucking things so she can get her retarded ass kid home." I sat there looking at her with this expression like "Da' fuck?" She gets all pissed and leans over the counter and says "Listen to me you little shit-" Now this is where I opened up my cell phone and dialed 911 and had the phone behind the counter. The police heard every word she said for about two minutes straight. After sitting there as she bitched with this huge smile on my face, she finally said "Wipe that fucking grin off your face or so help me god I will MAKE you get it off." After a brief silence I heard the cops talking and the one said "Uh ma'me, you are aware that we've been listening to you for the past two minutes, correct? No? Okay then (speaking to me now) sir we're sending a squad car now. She'll most likely be charged as drunk and disorderly and probably more. Thank you for calling us before the situation got out of hand."
I felt like a real badass that day

why dont they ever listen to the kids, especially if the concern is that big
