First of all, it was just a joke. Of course I don't actually believe that all religious people are terrorists.

Islamic extremism was the driving motive behind the 9/11 attacks. Religious extremism is and always has been a very dangerous and hateful thing.

You are very close minded. "anyting remotely sounds like bashin religion" such ignorrance leads to stupidity, misguided judgement, and hatred. It is a poorman who cannot critize oneself or his own ideaologies.

only when called out you did. The picture makes perfect sense as it was a religious ideal which lead those men to what they did. religion or them, for the cordinators/planners not so much religion, however it was involved none-the-less.
Also what is wrong with Fieldmarhsall Erwin Rommel might I ask?

So this one fault of a comment was enough for you to assume the kind of person that i am? And I was under the impression that Erwin Rommel was a Nazi, and here you are preaching to me about being close-minded and having misguided hatred.

Well after this one I am rather certain. I didn't assume simply stated a opinion of mine about what I have seen, not necessarily you. You might beacompletely different person inreal life - however that comment seemed wrongto me - you ignore things because they annoy you and immediately show dislike/hatred -in thiscasejust by thumbing down.

Erwin Rommel was not a nazi, he was a general in the Wermacht, and was even respected by Winston Churchill and many other allied generals and politicians. Not all Germans are Nazi's and not all Nazi's are Germans. Any legit source will tell you that Erwin Rommel was a man to look up to.

yet more assumptions of my personality, keep going, really. Obviously I ignore things that annoy me, and immediately show hatred, you probably gave that a lot of thought with careful observations. Also, excuse me for my misunderstanding of Erwin Rommel, i just thought that perhaps since he followed the orders of a genocidal man, that he may have had the same ideals.

hehe, either way keep and open mind. Allow discussion about topics you keep sacred. I suppose it was a provocation from his side, but you shouldn't have responded the way you did.

Also he followed the orders of Wermacht most of the time. At the time everything was commanded by Hitler indirectly or directly. However, he was a man respected by his enemies.

> Islamic extremism was the driving motive behind the 9/11 attacks.

Yea. Sure.

Of course. This is why they aimed for churches.

Oh wait! They didn't! They aimed for symbols of american government, military and economics. Don't you ever confuse religious extremism with this, you twat.

No need to call names. That is the lowest form of debate.

I also don't understand what you are trying to prove? I never said that the 9/11 attacks were targeted purely at Christians or that they were aimed at churches.

I only said that the terrorist's radical interpretation of Islam drove them to hate and attack symbols of US capitalism and power.

Islam has nothing to do with that. It is purely political terrorism, anti-american terrorism.

You do know the whole Bin Laden thing started in Afghanistan, right? You do know Americans taught him everything he knows about wars?

Do you have any proof that Islam had nothing to do with the attacks?

"Al-Qaeda alternatively spelled al-Qaida and sometimes al-Qa'ida, is a global militant Sunni Islamist group founded by Osama bin Laden"

Taken from the Wikipedia article on Al-Qaeda.

Do I believe that the terrorists had political motivations as well as religious ones? Of course.
