What is your source? Most of these are never discussed in the books, such as the student population of Hogwarts.
It never says why Nearly Headless Nick is killed.
Elements are not represented by the Houses.
James was most definitely a seeker.
And ANY magical person can communicate between patronuses. Just because no one else in the books did, doesn't mean they can't.

FUCK. YOUR. SHIT.

The student population was said in an interview with JK rowling as was the death of nearly headless nick AND what the houses represent. The last two I agree with you but the others are facts as the writer answered the questions herself. I remember watching the Q and A session.

JK also said that James is a chaser in an interview. But because it mentions him playing with a snitch in the books, many people think he may have been a seeker which is why the movies have him as a seeker. However, who's to say he couldn't have been both throughout his Hogwarts career? Maybe a seeker when he was younger and smaller thus better suited for the position, and then a chaser when he got older?

Hmm... You make a very good point. Just because he got an award for being seeker doesn't mean he wasn't just an average chaser afterwards.
People just get their information from the books (like the guy above) and don't realize that authors actually answer fans questions. Tsk Tsk.

Also, playing with a snitch doesn't necessarily mean he was a seeker at the time. What girl would want a guy playing with a Quaffle? Snitches are much better for attracting certain redheads, at least in the eyes of a big headed teenager that James must have been given both information from books and interviews.
