They have to be there, if a fire does start on a crashed car then, well you know the rest. An more and more homes are now being built out of metal so the number of house-fires have plummeted dramatically.
somewhat right, yeah we have to be there incase the car catches fire, but we go incase the patient is stuck in the car, all the "jaws of life" are on our trucks, and nowadays every firefighter (except some volunteers) are EMT basic some being paramedics so they can also assist in advance life support. Yes some homes are made from metals, like homes you see that are part barns but houses are wood frames, houses nowadays are 20 times more dangerous then houses of our past (because of new construction methods) ....
they don't last as long under when actually on fire and they put out much more dangerous chemicals in the smoke and burn hotter and faster then in the old days, I would say house fires have dropped, but the risk have increased.... just accidentally learning no harm no foul :]
