Let's be clear on this: President Obama did NOT kill Osama Bin Laden. An American soldier, who Obama just a few weeks ago was debating on whether or not to PAY, did. Obama just happened to be the one in office when our soldiers finally found OBL and took him out. This is NOT an Obama victory, but an AMERICAN victory!!
Thank you :D
Thank you :D
I don't think of it as America's victory. I just think of it as some arsehole who got what he deserved and the team that contributed to shooting his face off should be the only ones getting praise or feeling proud, because really the rest of America didn't do much about it.
Interestingly enough, they got a majority of the information on how to find him through warterboarding. A bush torture policy.
(I don't support bush or this policy, but it is important to understand that this was not Obama's kill alone)

Possible government shutdown was caused by everyone in congress too fuckface. And Obama never claimed to kill him, he said he authorized the operation. Also, if you know anything about the presidency, you know that presidents take a lot of blame for bad shit that happens that isn't their fault (economic collapse) and get a lot of credit for good things that happen that aren't really because of them (Osama).

First off, I will start by saying you're welcome. Second, Obama also happened to be president during the time when the economy of America is so shot to shit that the income of any american organization can be questioned. Thirdly, we've been tracking Bin Laden for awhile, Obama was the only one with priority and balls enough to actually go for it. There have been past opportunities to take him out, however think about this; You're the Commander and Chief and the decision is up to you, a group of patriotic soldiers could very well lose their lives assaulting to most heavily guarded enemy household in the world, if they fail, your career is over and you have the guilt of their lives on your hands. Do you have the balls to verify the attack?

First of all, Saying that Obama wasn't responsible at all for the killing of Osama because he didn't fire the bullet, is like saying that Bin Ladin wasn't responsible for 9/11 because he didn't fly the plane. Obama made it the CIA's top priority to hunt him down. Also, waveboarding was not used to accuire information despite the rumours. The only thing waveboarding did was lead the US to Iraq to look for him. Get your facts straight guys.

did you see the celebrating americans on the news?
they're celebrating the justice and closure that the death has brought to the family and friends of thousands of innocent men, women and children.
plus he wasnt some old guy, he was the worlds number 1 most wanted terrorist, killing him symbolizes a huge step in the fight against terrorism. Atm there ARE other priorities and america can now tick one off the list

Yes they are still dead. My uncle is still dead from that attack on our country. And while fighting would not have brought them back, sitting around and mourning wouldn't have brought them back either. America isn't about falling into shambles and staying there. It's about coming back up with a resolve to put an end to what brought it down. Fighting the war may not be the answer, but it's a hell of a lot more productive than lying down and rolling over. Justice was served. As it should be.
He orchestrated attacks where people VOLUNTEERED to throw their lives away. He had power. He may have been physically old, but ego, megalomania, and over all psychosis does not mellow with age. He didn't need good health to give the order to kill, all he needed was the will to do so. And he VERY much had the will. And the followers to take out those orders. He had the blind faith of religious extremists, which has been OH SO nonthreatening in the past.
Who knows? He's dead. I don't want to know what that man was thinking, nor what he may have had planned. I doubt it was anything pleasant. So let the people who lost a loved one have their moment of thanks and celebration. The man responsible for a lot of pain and sorrow is gone from the world. Why shouldn't we be happy?
I can see by your use of "lol" that you really have no deep insight other than..."He was old", "America spent money". You don't have an actual argument that's truly valid. And I suppose I can't expect much from someone who probably hasn't lost someone close to them in the attacks. It takes actually losing something of importance to understand what's happened.
This guy had 1000s of mindless followers at a minimum. He could have set it up under someone elses name. Someone quiet and not on the terrorist list. That money is probably still under that guy.
But with all the intelligence we just grabbed from this kill. That guy may not be so invisible anymore.

I'm sorry I couldn't hear you over my heart surgery I am getting for free
America calls itself a free nation yet has legislature based on Christianity, call itself a Christian nation, homes some of the most ignorant people I've ever met (not all, but a lot), and is the cause of most of our societal problems. So lets not get into a country vs country debate, shall we?
I'm not disagreeing with you, it is everywhere. I mean, people first came to the Americas for freedom of religion. However, it doesn't define EVERYBODY here. I live in New York, and not many people are very religious here. Sure, down south and west we have the bible belt, but most of them are good natured people, they just have their views a little skewed. Again, I'm not disagreeing with you, unfortunately a few things in our country are still held back by Christianity, but our entire government is not based off of it.
Dont ask dont tell wasnt that great in the first place, as it stopped openly homosexual men and women from joining. If it were up to the Northern states, there would be no discrimination against homosexuals, but the south is generally very conservative. The pull between liberal and conservative views keep us at a very modest pace.
However, Im part of the LGBT in my school, and i dont discriminate people on the bounds of their sexuality, almost nobody that i know does. In fact, my school put on "The Laramie Project" for our fall play, as did many schools in New York.

It does quite amuse me that Americans and Canadians have so many internet arguments, considering that they are actually great allies.
Also, Americans tend to use the "Nobody knows/cares about Canada and we are more powerful" argument, while Canadians talk about what they've invented and how stupid they find Americans to be.

Yeah.. :P Actually i dont know much about Osama and the reason why they terrorise and all.. It has been on standby for, i guess, a bit under 10 years. The media cant be filled with it all the time, then theres no space for telling about some royal brides dress
