He was the first person to see all
the continents from above,
he was the first person to see the
curvature of the Earth.

granted, but he was the first.

He was the first man to fly out from our planet. He was the greatest explorer ever. Ther first person to go where no man had ever been before.

I look on his achievement in wonder. If you look at it with cynicism then I think you lose more than I do.
