I don't think anybody has actually pointed this out, but that integral is impossible to evaluate. Solving any integral using the same variable ('x') is essentially the same as revving your engine with the car out of gear. It's just not going to work.

Granted, all the contents of the middle (the 'n' stuff) goes to infinity. That's easy enough.

He is evaluating the bound with the variable X for some value N. N is not the same value as X. According to second fundamental theorem of calculus, you can evaluate a bound that has a variable in it; however, I think the variable can only be on the top bound and the constant has to be on the lower bound. Not positive though.
