I wonder if they realize that most (if not all) religous organizations do tons of charity work.

Lol. U serious bro? You actually think all religious organizations do charity work? Are you that religiously brain-washed?
User avatar #1071 to #1070 - Yesitsme (03/20/2011) [-]
They do...

Obviously it's not going to be an absolute 100%, but overwhelmingly so, churches and mosques hold charity events all the time.

Westboro Baptist Church cancels that shit out alone...
User avatar #1074 to #1073 - Yesitsme (03/20/2011) [-]
That's like one church out of the thousands that do, do charity events.
User avatar #1075 to #1074 - biggestmaggot (03/20/2011) [-]
That's also just the best example. There are others...

Not going to hate but... The Catholic church is one of the biggest donors to charities and causes out there. Along with other religious organisations. Just saying.. :S

"If you do too much, people get dependent on you. And if you do nothing, they lose hope. "
-God (Futurama)

One of my favorites quotes. Prayer is fine, but when you actually do something, you are living the true purpose of your faith.

I'm a Christian person myself, and I can't agree more. Anyone who relies on God to solve all their problems is sorely mistaken. That's not the point.

The bible even says so itself. "Faith without works is dead." (James 2:20). Or in other words, you can believe in God and Jesus all you want, but if you don't do anything that faith is useless.

Exactly man. I hate it when people are so hypocritical with their religion.

lol i'm loving all these fights in the comments about this shit.
I think its hilarious.

I don't have a religion myself so i'm not going to take a side.
and i'm not athiest, I don't have ANY religion, just thought I should repeat it so people dont get confused.

So even though I don't have a religion I still think about my friend in Japan and hope he's okay, I even donated $100 to the relief effort.
So I do both, why don't you guys do the same?
and Thanks if you already have :)
User avatar #1066 to #978 - darknec (03/19/2011) [-]
In Atheism you believe there's something superior than us, a creator if you will, they don't totaly discard other religions as any of their gods/deitys can but that "superior being".
I am agnostic, don't believe in any god or higher entity what so ever.
