Need help with my L96 (In Description)
Hey FJ, I came here for help, I tried 4chan but no one knew what to do. Sorry, I'll post something funny later but I really need the help. I just recently got a L96 Airsoft Sniper off my friend for free and I've never owned a sniper before. I tried sighting it in but every time it just hits the target at completely random places every time. Here's some background info on it. Hey FJ, I came here for help, I tried 4chan but no one knew what to do. Sorry, I'll post something funny later but I really need the help. I just recently got a L96 Airsoft Sniper off my friend for free and I've never owned a sniper before. I tried sighting it in but every time it just hits the target at completely random places every time. Here's some background info on it. The barrel twists a little even when in place, maybe the threads are stripped i dunno. The rail was loose and i tightened it until it was solid the the frame. The spring was upgraded to go to 550fps, noting else was changed. There was a shitload of dirty grease in it (maybe he was using the wrong bolt oil) but even after I cleaned that AND the barrel it still shot fucked up. Can anyone help me with this? Do I need a new inner barrel? Where should I go and who should I ask for help?

1. buy a real l96
2. remove or paint orange tip (crucial)
3. kidnap random people and lock them in a warehouse
4. attack triggers to 2 buttons and line the 2 snipers on both sides pointing at victims head
5. tell victim one will leave a very small welt, and the other will leave bigger one
6. ??????
7. PROFIT
or you could just post this on an airsoft forum but whatever man

Something you gotta keep in mind, ammo's a factor as well. Heavier munition travels straighter. I've never shot with anything lighter than .20 grams, and they always fly good. But if the rifle was just given to you, there may of been a reason. But I'm no expert, so I really can't tell you much, sorry.

The barrel isn't riffled so there's no spin on the BB when it's fired, so it loses accuracy. Like older muskets from the Revolutionary war. Yah dig?

If you're using light BB's then try heavier ones (.20g or so)
I have an airsoft sniper too and heavy BB's make a huge difference

you could try [url deleted] for help/parts if you do need a new barrel. if the gun has hop-ups try adjusting it to the proper settings. but remember that its an airsoft gun that shouts round bullets, they will curve a little if you far away.

The barrel should have a locking ring (kinda like a nut that you twist againist the upper reciever) if not try getting a large hose clamp and putting it around the barrel and the body stock and tighten until the barrel is firmly in place. Get a rifled barrel for increased accuracy, otherwise its like throwing a knuckleball and it drops quickly and any amount of wind will throw it off. Follow the basic fundementals of shooting: sight picture the same everytime (put a regular bb on the stock with tape so you put you cheek in the same place every time) steady aim, trigger squeeze and breathing. These two work together, as you let your breath out slowly squeeze the trigger and it should be a surpise when it fires do NOT pull the trigger.USARMY
