Avira Antivir FTW!

*only flaw so far is that it has an annoying popup with the free version,
but it takes like 10 seconds to disable that, so yay free antivirus software!

also, Symantec is evil and Norton itself has ****** up more of my computers than i can remember

I tried avast and it tried to block things I didn't want blocked. AVG hasn't failed me so far but if it every does I will try the programs you suggest. Thanks for your input.
User avatar #6 to #5 - ThatCoolGuy (01/19/2010) [-]
yeah, avg is incredibly famous, but the tests show he don't catch most of the viruses, and about that blocking thing, maybe avast was blocking REALLY DANGEROUS THING

thought of that but I used McAfee SiteAdvisor and it said it was good, went on it and computer still works fine. Thanks again for your input but I think I will end this conversation now because I don't want this thread to be just you and me reply to one another. I will leave you with a gift of sorts for your time. I shall thumb up all your previous comments for I have already thumbed up the photo. Good day sir.
