I remember it too only it was like a red ribbon I think and he tried to trick her by buying her a necklace and attempting to take the ribbon off as he put it on like a mother fucking troll.

did you read it out of that really creepy book with the skeleton head on it? something like "Scary Stories to Read in the Dark"?

No I read it from a big book with like 10 stories in it and it was for kids and it had a haunted house on the front in one of those hologram thingies and when you moved it the ghosts on the cover moved and the rest was purple...I might actually still have it in a box in the attic with all of my kid stuff but I forget what the name is.

that sounds like the second book... must have been in that one. i remember i loved that book so much, then i lost it when i brought it to a pizza place, and it fell down the side of one of the benches... :(

Haha I loved it too! I read it all the time at sleep overs and I still laugh that it actually scared us lol and aw that sucks :(

Holy fuck. This gave me nightmares for years as a kid. I had that same book.
I had just gotten into reading, I was five or so , and it was near halloween, and my grandmother thought it was a great idea to buy me that book. I read it and I was fucking scared. I was so scared i told her to put the book in the bathroom when i slept over. It wasn't really the story that scared the shit out of me, it was the drawings. The drawings were fucking realistic and creepy, unlike this comic, which is bright and cartoony.

The creepyest part of it all, was that I was JUST Thinking of this story when i hit "next"
