I applied to Harvard despite my 2.8 GPA and 1860 (out of 2400) SAT; just for kicks. I was so ridiculously happy when I got my acceptance letter, but I found out later that it was actually for some other kid with the same name as mine; I guess there was a mix-up when they were mailing the acceptance/rejection letters. That was the worst day of my life. sigh, my parents were even more disappointed than I was.
