And Dexter wants to be The Boondock Saints... and every freaking thing that comes out has to start somewhere... and if you have seen Boondock and Dexter you'd know they have similiarities but arent the same.... and yet millions of people all over the place enjoy the.. so you dont like Avatar.. shut ur pie hole other people did.. so you preferred Avatar to pocohantus or however u spell the damn name.. there are similarities.. you can still enjoy it tho? it didnt stop you before.. it shouldnt stop you now.. them being alike doesnt mean anything... they are stillf pretty dif..

yes this is a good point ive heaerd people make but there are some things that avatar had that was unique... for example the "god" in avatar was measuable and real, unlike religion today that is based on your faith in the truth of watever u worship...another difference is that the people in avatar did try to make peace with and help the natives and the open war that started was unintentional... in pocahontas the "new world" wasnt toxic and all the creatures werent trying to kill them...the whole idea of their "bond" through their hair is unique to avatar...and in avatar in pretty sure the 2 culture have NOT resolved there differances

dude i was totally thinking this while i watched the movie, way to be original...
this movie is not such a rip of of other movies, James Cameron wrote the original story in 1995, and has been waiting for the CGI world to have much better graphiques
well avatar was never gonna gain credit for an original storyline or even strong acting (though the voice acting was pretty good) - its all about the strong graphics!!
i also went to see it in 3D - frankly i think i would have enjoyed it just as much in 2D

Yes hollywood has not had an original Idea in years , if ever.
The good thing is there are enough uneducated teenagers who go ga ga over digital special effects that original storylines are not needed.

IMHO= I'm a hoe? I know it means in my honest opinion, but your opinion is only picking the parts that fit to your bad joke. you take parts out of context, where there are major differences in scenes so it can not be the same story. maybe the moral is the same but the movies are completely different and Avatar is an epic movie.

Lion King = Hamlet yet still it is the best movie ever! If James Cameron wants to take a good story and make it into freaking epic movie thats all right with me

Avatar ripped off Dances With Wolves, Pocahontas, the Last Samurai and about a dozen other movies. But who cares, it was still awesome.
