I have a theory that we are wrong, perhaps Sean Connery is the father, Morgan Freeman is the holy ghost and Chuck Norris is the son, making them the holy trinity. Meaning that they are ageless and able to change their appearance at will. so perhaps we have finally found evidence of this

It's very confusing, but here goes my best attempt to describe it. Jesus is God's son, and at the same time he is a representation of God in human form. Sorta make sense?

Then why do they call Jesus his son?

Because Jesus is human and all humans are the children of god... technically, I personally am not christian, I'm agnostic, but my family is non-denominational and presbyterian, so I was taken to church when I was younger and I know a lot about the bible.

I know what the bible says, but i wanna know why people believe these things, they don't work in my head.

because when people are raised in a mindset, they tend to keep that mindset for life and raise others in it. Someone started christianity, then raised their kids that way, who then converted other, and raised their kids that way and it went on until now. It is simply the way to world works, it's like asking why people believe in Particle String Theory, it isn't proven, but in some cases in makes sense.

Well i was talking more along the lines of why do people think God and Jesus are the same. I mean there's just so much hypocrisy in the bible it's ridiculous.

For instance, Noah must have been the smartest person alive to get 2 of every animal onto the arch, keeping the polar bears cold and everything. Oh, and don't forget he was so good that he kept all the dinosaurs away too.

Well, if you actually look at the bible, you'll remember that things used to live a lot longer, and as reptiles never stop growing, and instead of saying "dinosaur" in the bible it says "dragon", and with reptiles growing so large, a 3 tonne chameleon would look like a triceratops.
But I digress, it could be that the animals that need cooler climates would be kept lower in the ark, as it would be surrounded by sea water, keeping it cool. The argument I hear most is about animals eating eachother, which (if you believe the bible) explains itself, as according to the bible, no one ate animal until after the ark.

There were many more dinosaurs than triceratops that existed.

I mean, can you honestly sit there and tell me he kept t-rexes from eating pigs and cows?

It doesn't make enough sense for me to have any hope in humanity.

I was using the triceratops as an example, but if the bible is true, then animals did not eat eachother until after the ark.

most religion is based on faith and religious interpritation for instance christians used to believe bathing too often was bad. you and i dont believe in christianity because to us it makes no sense or doesnt seem right christians have their beliefs because to them it does. we cant know whos right

Being the only agnostic in a Christian family raises questions.

No Jesus is God made flesh. He is a god but he is not THE GOD. I hope that sorta helps even though I barely understand it

Jesus mroe accurately is a mortal representation of god, so a demi-god more closely reflects what Jesus is.

No The bible also tells you that Jesus is not mortal he is not human.... Anyways Its all myths anyways everyone who does not take religion seriously should know The bible is just a set of rules on how to live a normal Christian life

myths are just dead religions but yes they all serve the same purpose of telling how to live a "good" life
