I dissagree. The bugatti Veron is an over rated, over priced peice of shit if you ask me. Its purpose was to be the ultimate road-going car. What people do not know though, is that this car, appart from its speed, is sluggish. Did you ever hear about the terrible turbo lag? The annoying underseer due to the cars 2.5 tonnes of weight? The overall weight distrubution? Throttle response or other key elements that spoil this car? Look up the McLaren F1. This car is 16 years old, and can still beat a veron round the nurburgring. That is a car which uses no computers to keep it stable on the road, is normally aspirated and weighs about 1 and a half tonnes less. I know what id rather have.

I fucking love the McLaren. Favorite car, and I even have a first edition book worth about 450 bucks on it. Even though it costs almost a million dollars, I still would buy one given the money and the chance any day.

Yep. Even if You/I had the money, though, the problem is finding one. There were only 100 total f1s made. 75 were road legal while 25 were racing cars (LeMans etc). To some the car is considered a priceless object, and therfore finding someone who actually has one, who is willing to sell it, would be very hard. Id love to even see one in real life, never mind sit in or even drive one.

I totally agree about the F1 being a preferable car, I was only saying that It did hold the record for fastest street car.

Yes, I agree, it is good. But if you were going to invest 1.6 million pounds (sorry i live in the uk but have an american computer - so no pound sign) in a car, you would expect it to be PERFECT. Maybe I am wrong. I look at cars on the way they perform, but most people look at cars as a luxury item, not as a peice as engineering. This car should be 10x the car as it is. That is my opinion, anyways.

The Buggati Veron Supersport is not the fastest car in the world... its the fastest mass produced car in the world. Lots of people have made cars that are faster than this although large manufacturars do not go to extream lengths to make the fastest car because of reliability issues and in the end there really is no point. Look up the red bull X1. It was designed to be the fastest vehicle on land to go round a track. It is unlikely that this car will go past the scale models, though because it would cost millions to make and it would produce virtually no profit (sponsors maybe). Car manufacturars make cars to make profit - not to break records, sadly.
