the european front did need help desperatly. Britain could repel the nazis from their island, but could not attack without the help of canadians and americans. they won in north africa because of american shermans, and kept japan from anal bum covering russia, which would have caused the russians (who won the war in the european front) to have to divert troops to there, resulting in defeat all around. however, it took the combined efforts of all, which is why they were the allied powers not team america or russia or britain. and just as an addition, im an american and i speak russian as well :D

if there were no worries on the western front germany and italy could have focused on russia, which would have made that a two front war, which is the reason germany lost. russia was on the verge of losing with stalingrad and leningrad, and with no pressure on germany they couldve come back next year with winter clothes. and yes history is written by the victors. if the axis had won hitler would say its because the jews were inferior, and mussolini would probably praise chicken parmesan or something. i do not thumb down often, unless its obvious trolling like the comment way below. i myself almost got banned with -180 thumbs for saying i didnt like dsend.
