One day, when I was a fresh man in high schewl, | saw a kid hem my class was walking heme frem school.

a feelball game with my friends I shrugged my shoulders and went an.
As Iwas walking, I saw a bunch of kids running toward him. They ran at him, knocking all his beaks out of
his arms and tripping him so he landed in the dirt. His glasses went flying, and I saw them land in the grass
abaut ten feet ficarra him. He leaked up and I saw this terrible sadness in his eyes. My heart went out ta him.
Sp I jagged ever ta him and as he crawled around looking fer his glasses, and I saw a tear in his eye.
As I handed him his glasses, I said, "These guys are jerks. They really should get lives? He leaked at me and
said, ''Hey thankss There was a big smile en his face. It was ene ofthose smiles that shewed real gratitude. I

him why I had never seen him befire. He said he had gene to private schewl befire now. I weild have
never hung out with a private schewl kid befire. We talked all the way home, and I carried his beaks. He

and I was gei fer business en a feelball scholarship.
Kyle was valedictorian ear class. I teased him all the time about being nerd. He had to prepare a speech

Reved him. Bay, sometimes I . Today was em of those days. I maid see that he was nervous

with are of these leeks (the really grateful ane) and smiled. 'Than ks," he said.
As he started his speech, he cleared his threat, and began. "G radiation is a time ta who
helped you make it raugh these taugh years. Yaar parents, headteachers, pour siblings, maybe a

I just leaked at my friend with disbelief as he mid the new of the first day we met. He had planned to kill
himself ever the weekend. He talked of haw he had cleaned eat his Becker so his Mam wouldn't have ta do

Every little thing you do in life has an impact on someone, even the slightest act of kindness. I was working at a gas station when the following happened:

A customer came in looking very pissed off, and he grabbed a 24 case of beer and came to the counter to pay. He looked mad so i started cracking jokes and telling stories. Long story short, he was smiling and telling me that he was happy there are good people in this world. He left, threw the beer in his backseat and left.

Two days later I got a phone call from my manager. It turns out the guy I talked to was about to drink himself stupid and kill himself. He said that thanks to someone like me, he realized life was worth living for. He had thrown the beer away and called a hotline.
