Actually, it's not hurting the kitty. If you want a clean kitty, you need to bathe them. Cats aren't clean, they're just covered in cat spit. Besides, if it's cruel to shower a kitty, why do they make kitty shampoo???

Yeah I am always surprised at how many people don't realize how filthy cats really are. Plus bathing them helps people with allergies cope.
