i just looked at my cat and said aloud; 'dont you fucking dare die', he purred and did that head punch thing, i cried a little.

I had to put my dog down a few months ago. It was really sudden. He had throat cancer (he didn't even smoke). I was really torn up about it. He was the first dog I had as an adult, my house, my family my dog.

I still miss him. Especially when I have a steak dinner and there's no one there to feed the scraps to. I carry a lot of guilt for leaving him alone while I was at work. To spend more time with my friends and human family and hardly give him a glance some days except to feed him. All a dog wants is the attention of the human he/she loves. Attention and time, I was unable or unwilling to give.

..and that is why I am no going to get another dog until my own children are old enough to play and care for one. Too much info?

I'll launch a friendly kitten to keep him company
